The much publicised changes to the ‘IR35’ off payroll working rules were due to take effect from 1 April 2020.
As part of the government’s actions to lessen the financial impact of Coronavirus the changes have now been postponed by a year to 1 April 2021.
If you have made plans based on the expected implementation date this may give you an opportunity to reconsider or defer action. Also, it now gives more time to plan for when the changes do take effect.
